Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Scenario ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Partner Pairing

The Service allows you to connect with a partner using invite codes. By connecting with a partner, you acknowledge that:

  • Certain content (scenarios, characters, preferences) will be shared between you and your partner
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have consent to connect with your partner
  • Either partner may disconnect at any time

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or offensive
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our consent
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent

User Content

You retain ownership of content you create using the Service (characters, backstories, etc.). By creating content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to provide the Service.

You are solely responsible for your content and represent that you have all necessary rights to create and share it.

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
  • Automatic renewal at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by Scenario and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Our scenarios, prompts, and AI-generated suggestions are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features (dialogue suggestions, character building assistance). You acknowledge that:

  • AI suggestions are generated automatically and may not always be appropriate
  • You are responsible for reviewing and choosing to use any AI suggestions
  • AI features may be improved over time based on anonymized usage patterns

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCENARIO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
